WHEN BOTH THE PARENTS ARE MYOPIC THE CHILD IS MORE LIKELY TO BE MYOPIC.

THE POWER OF THE EYES AT ONE YEAR OF AGE CAN BE A GOOD PREDICTOR OF THE NATURE OF ASTIGMATISM OF THE CHILD.

EMMETROPIZATION IS A VERY IMPORTANT CONCEPT, WHICH MEANS THE EYES ARE TENDING TO GO TOWARDS NORMALCY AS THE CHILD GROWS.

THIS IS MORE IN THE PRESCHOOL YEARS THAT IS UPTO 6 YEARS OF AGE.

INSTILLING EYE DROPS

A NOTE ON THE USE OF EYE DROPS

Eye drops are best instilled with the head well back or when lying down. The forefinger of one hand is used to gently pull down on the lower lid, creating a small recess into which a drop can be made to fall from the bottle held in the other hand..
