We have many festivals in India, but more of holidays because of them... we tend to eat more sweets ( spoil our health) and work less ( causing more disruption of the economy).
I guess there are 2 sides to the same coin... it is good as we live our culture and enjoy it and the other side is the disruption of routines...
Banks ... they are closed at all festivals. of all religions.. and at every famous person in history's birthday... it is interesting how they get to keep all our money and then make us run behind them to get back the money ...
Thankfully hospitals do not close at all these holidays...and that's why the medical profession is important and deserves respect.. we treat all irrespective of caste, creed , religion .. once the drape goes on the patient who is due for surgery we are not bothered about anything else than the problem that we see in the human body and we consider it our duty to do our best for the patient....I wonder how many patients realize this...
