Health care system in India

The health care system in India is predominantly private. Where the patient has to pay for the service. However in the UK it is the state or the NHS ( national health service) who pays for it. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, the waiting lists in the NHS are longer, while here in India we can have immediate redressal of our health problems.

However I feel health is a fundamental right and the country or state should provide free, accessible, affordable and excellent health care to all irrespective of their paying status. We are not paying any less tax than in the UK. This will be a dream as India is a huge country and there are many factors like corruption and politics which will always prevent progress. However it is still worth dreaming. ...
